Happy World Gin Day!
Happy World Gin Day! We’re proud to announce the launch of our Limited Edition Gin Celebration Box, a 9 piece Fresh Chocolate gift box, handmade in our London kitchen. Our Head Chocolatier has taken inspiration from the flavours in Hayman’s London Dry Gin and their new Exotic Citrus Gin to create two unique, limited edition Rococo chocolates.
Our Limited Edition Gin Celebration Box contains 3 of each chocolate, the Madagascar House Truffle, Hayman’s G&T and Hayman’s Exotic Gin Ganache.
The Madagascar House is a smooth single origin dark Rococo chocolate ganache with berry and citrus notes. The ganache is dusted with cocoa which enhances the fruity notes and balances the creaminess while also adding texture.
Hayman’s G&T has a layer of tonic water jelly with quinine and a dark gin ganache with juniper berries to balance and enhance the flavours, all enrobed in dark Rococo chocolate; the perfect G&T in chocolate form!
The inspiration for Hayman’s G&T came from Hayman’s London Dry Gin. The gin is crafted over 2 days, staying absolutely true to the family’s heritage. The result of this artisan method is a fresh crisp elegant gin with refreshing notes from juniper, subtle exotic spice and a lively citrus finish.
Hayman’s Exotic Gin Ganache is a fresh and creamy white chocolate ganache with Japanese citrus sudachi and mandarin puree, encased in dark Rococo chocolate. The fruits compliment the aromatic gin to enhance and add depth to the flavours.
Hayman’s Exotic Gin Ganache was inspired by Hayman’s new Exotic Citrus Gin. This naturally made gin is bursting with the vibrant exotic citrus fruits of kumquat, pomelo, Persian lime and mandarin, offering bright, fresh citrus flavours creating a deliciously elegant serve.
About Hayman’s Gin
The Hayman’s Gin story began in 1863 when James Burrough, a charismatic London pharmacist, opened a small distillery on Cale Street, Chelsea. At that time, London’s gin of choice was Old Tom gin; however, James was pioneering the drier style that the nation has come to know and love as London Dry Gin. James was the great grandfather of Christopher Hayman, 4th generation and Master Distiller at Hayman’s Gin.
Hayman’s boasts 150 years of rich history which has resulted in the wide acclaim the brand enjoys today. It is currently Christopher’s children, James and Miranda, who run Hayman’s. Sharing the same passion and affection for gin as their father, the pair work alongside Christopher, who in 2019 celebrated 50 years of working in gin. The very essence of Hayman’s is that the brand still makes its gin today using the same family recipes developed over 150 years ago, crafting its gins over two days to allow the natural flavours to shine through.
