Included on the list of the Best Artisanal Panettone in Italy by Gambero Rosso, Italy's answer to the Michelin Guide, it is made in Trieste by the Pastry Chef Giuseppe Pintaudi and his team.
Making a good panettone is terribly hard, as the original recipe is over two centuries old, and pastry chefs rarely write down the specific details that make a panettone airy and delicate. Giuseppe's recipe is simple and honest. The best ingredients make the best panettone.
He has selected the finest golden Australian sultanas, the most delicate Sicilian Orange Blossom Honey, and the most fragrant Madagascar Vanilla beans. Mixed with great flour, eggs, butter and sugar, as well as Pintaudi's "mother" sourdough starter, it makes for one of Italy's best rated panettone.
Presented in a collectible orange and gold metal tin, this panettone is ready to gift or to share in to ring in the arrival of the festive season.
