I was eagerly anticipating these to arrive in the post! The cellophane bag, tied with pretty Rococo ribbon, contains two different shaded almonds of two subtlety different sizes, finished with a coating of polished Rococo chocolate. But what excited me most about this item is the Gianduja glaze, which has its own interesting historical origins. I’ve grown to love hazelnut spread during the past year, and to taste a cinnamon studded hazelnut paste, hugging a delectable almond, covered with a final layer of shiny chocolate, is sheer bliss!!!!!!!!!! Do try these!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is a nice thick layer around the almond, and there is some fruity notes in the chocolate or maybe it’s the type of cinnamon — not sure but I don’t really care for it. I’ll happily stick with the other nuts, though!
