Our friends at Algerian Coffee Stores in London’s Soho asked us to make this recipe to go with one of their coffee blends. A warm, spicy mix of cloves, cinnamon, cardamom and nutmeg, this is an intense chocolate bar with subtle texture and a long finish. An award-winner, its rich flavour and smooth, silky texture make it an ideal bar for a chocolate connoisseur.

Absolutely delighted with this bar of chocolate! The spices really complement the quality of the chocolate. It was too tasty to share!

Fantastic chocolate. I bought one for my son for his birthday and he found it and opened it before the big day, so I had to replace it and that one (his birthday has happened now) vanished! Stunningly lovely flavour, and wonderful feling in your mouth as it melts, if you can eat it slowly enough. Also would say arrived very quickly and well packed, so I shall definitely be ordering again.

I posted my review for Rococo’s Spice Island Organic Dark Chocolate Artisan Bar under another Artisan Bar, I believe it was for something I bought under the Grenadian Chocolate Company label, when I saw that the item had mysteriously not showed up on the site again, soon after my order arrived, over a year ago. Since the Season to be Jolly is almost here, I wanted to add, the dry spice blend presented in the chocolate can be interpreted as appropriately, but not necessarily, festive – a tweak on the spice theme, easily befitting of Winter’s antithesis.

The taste of the spices with the dark chocolate is just delicious…
