Hailing from France, and their penchant for heavily salted butter caramels, salted caramel made the hop across the channel and into the hearts and mouths of chocolate lovers everywhere. Here at Rococo, salted caramel has been a longstanding favourite and now we want to share it’s secrets with you!


Rococo is opening the doors of our Belgravia store for a series of Salted Caramel workshops, giving you the chance to discover the secrets to the perfect salted caramel chocolates. Over the course of a morning you will learn not only the history of Rococo and chocolate, but will be guided step-by-step through the process of making the ultimate salted caramels by one of our trained chocolatiers. You’ll start by making the main event – the caramel. Caramel making might be a daunting prospect for the chocolate novice, but with the help of our chocolatier you will learn the tricks to create beautifully smooth, perfectly balanced salted caramel.


Whilst your caramel cools, enjoy a tutored chocolate tasting. You’ll learn how to properly taste and identify flavour notes naturally present in chocolate.


After you have mastered the art of tasting, you’ll head back to your workstations to fill the chocolate shells with your very own caramel, ready to be given a final flourish of a cocoa powder dusting.


After creating your caramels in the kitchen relax over a coffee in our cafe whilst your delicious creations set, before packaging them up and taking them home with you…if they can get that far!

Salted Caramel workshops run for approx. 2 hours and take place at our Belgravia stores from 11am-1pm.
