Success at the 2019 Academy of Chocolate Awards
As if you needed another reason to love our bestselling Sea Salt Caramel Domes.
We’re delighted to have had both our Milk and Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramels awarded Bronze in the Salted BonBon category in this year’s Academy of Chocolate Awards.
Made entirely by hand in small batches in our West Dulwich kitchen, each Valrhona chocolate dome encases a silky smooth liquid salted caramel. Our Chocolatiers spent months perfecting the caramelisation of the sugar to achieve the right balance of rich yet slightly smoky toffee tones.
Try them for yourself in any of our London shops or here.
One of our limited-edition seasonal specials was also recognised with a Bronze accolade. Our fresh Raspberry Caramel was a treat our Chocolatiers created for Valentine’s Day and was quick to sell out in our shops. This was a thicker caramel and the sweet, fruity acidity sat perfectly with the dark chocolate shell. Watch this space, these berry treats may be returning to our shops…
The Academy of Chocolate was founded in 2005 by five of Britain’s leading chocolate professionals. They were united in their belief that eating fine chocolate is one of life’s great pleasures and over the years have campaigned for better quality chocolate. Their mission is to promote a greater awareness of the difference between fine chocolate and the mass-produced chocolate confectionery which most of us eat.
